Queens, NY Construction management firm Urban Atelier Group (UAG) is providing construction services for Halletts Point 20/30, an 800,000 SF mixed-use waterfront development located on a former industrial yard in Astoria. The development consists of two additional new residential towers atop a shared parking foundation, an expansive esplanade, a park, and retail at the base.
“We are thrilled to be working with The Durst Organization on this transformative waterfront development in Astoria and honored to continue the partnership between our firms,” said Andy D’Amico, president of UAG. “Halletts Point 20/30 is an integral part of The Durst Organization’s overall vision for activating the Astoria waterfront, and this development will bring much-needed housing to New Yorkers.”
The once-industrial peninsula in Astoria is being transformed into a modern family-friendly community with abundant history and proximity to culture, open space, and recreation. Halletts Point 20-30 are the third and fourth buildings of the seven-building Halletts Point development led by The Durst Organization. Between both buildings, there will be 650 units, both market rate and affordable housing. Halletts Point 20/30 will bring housing, retail, and amenities to the local community.
“New York City urgently needs more housing, and we’re excited to have a conscientious construction partner that will help us move quickly to provide hundreds of New Yorkers a new place to call home in Astoria,” said Jonathan Durst, president of The Durst Organization. “We look forward to working with UAG as we embark on this next phase of Halletts Point to bring even more residents to this emerging waterfront community.”
Currently, the project is under phase two of construction, with a completion date slated for 2024.
