POWERHOUSE ARTS
UAG collaborated with non-profit entities Powerhouse Arts and Gemini Arts Initiative to restore and construct a 180,000 SF space dedicated to art fabrication facilities and multi-use areas for education, events, and public engagement. UAG led the renovation of the development, including Turbine Hall, also known as the Grand Hall, into a venue for public assembly and programming. Additionally, UAG constructed the adjacent building, Boiler House, which accommodates the organization’s art and fabrication spaces. Through the preservation, restoration, and reconstruction of integral components of the original power station, Powerhouse Arts enriched the building’s industrial character while reinforcing its connection to the surrounding urban environment.
